The Art of Leadership

Introduction

A program to build leadership skills.

The Art of Leadership initiative was launched by the Montana Arts Council in 2004. This initiative provides practical tools that hone leaders' skills and abilities to develop and sustain the artistic, managerial and financial health and vitality of Montana's arts organizations.

The statewide initiative is targeted to teams of trustees and directors of Montana-based nonprofit arts organizations who are interested in leadership, fund raising and business skills development.

With financial support from the Wallace Foundation, MAC is investing in this program not only to support the creative leaders in the state, but to revitalize communities and strengthen the state's economy.

2008 Workshop focuses on Marketing

Thank you to the Montana Community Foundation for its sponsorship of the 2008 workshop series.

MAC's 2008 workshop series, "Marketing Tune-Up: Grow Your Audience and Your Bottom Line" will help your arts organization develop and implement a comprehensive approach to a strong audience growth strategy. The workshop will be led by Jim Copenhaver, the Art of Leadership's program designer, along with a team of experienced leaders in PR and technology.

For complete program information, read the Jan/Feb issue of State of the Arts or email Margo Sturgis for a printed brochure.
